Volvo Cars
Mission Overview
Description :
As a consulting software engineer in Volvo Cars' Visualization and Design team in Gothenburg, I contributed to the cutting-edge development of 3D visualization, simulation and immersive technologies at Volvo Cars' R&D headquarters:
Designed and developed advanced extensions using NVIDIA Omniverse (USD, Omni.ui, Omni.kit) to support variant generation, real-time simulation, and vehicle illumination workflows for design validation and product configuration.
Engineered Virtual Reality rendering pipelines to showcase concept vehicles at public events and internal reviews, enhancing the visualization of future car designs.
Led multiple projects focusing on the optimization and photorealism of 3D rendering simulations, improving both performance and visual fidelity in immersive experiences.
Collaborated directly with NVIDIA engineers to align Omniverse-based initiatives with industrial needs, enabling large-scale visualization solutions.
Applied agile project management methodologies, including scope definition, milestone planning, and technical documentation, to coordinate cross-functional development efforts.
Technical environment: Unity3D, Python, Nvidia Omniverse, Autodesk Vred, Unreal Engine 5, Visual Studio Code, Git
Academic Awards :
I have actively contributed to the adoption of the NVIDIA Omniverse platform by technical teams, training several engineers in its use and integration into design and visualization workflows. I set up structured usage and development reports, facilitating project tracking, traceability of extensions developed, and documentation of best practices. These initiatives have accelerated the tool's internal expansion, fostered interdisciplinary collaboration, and improved the scalability of Omniverse-based projects across the company.
