R&D Project
French National Railway Company
Description :
As part of an R&D project at SNCF's industrial maintenance center in Bischheim, I developed a tool for assessing the cost of non-quality applied to all production lines.
This project required an in-depth analysis of industrial processes, including flow mapping, identification of failure points, and modeling of the costs associated with quality deviations. I carried out a technical benchmark of recurring degradations in order to formulate targeted recommendations for optimizing operations.
The study covered the entire production cycle, from design to final assembly, with a focus on traceability and meeting customer requirements. The tool was then integrated into the business process, accompanied by on-site training to ensure that operational teams were fully up to speed.
Technical environment: Node.js, Git, Excel, VBA, Microsoft Automate, VS Code, Google Forms
Academic Awards :
Modeling of quality processes and integration of economic criteria to quantify the impact of failures.
Automated collection, classification and visualization of non-conformities from field data
Significant reduction in analysis time for quality technicians via a semi-automated evaluation system
Improved operational responsiveness thanks to prioritization of corrective actions based on actual cost
On-site deployment of the tool with skills transfer and change management support
